Tiff Snips #1: Thoughts After August Free Clinic in Hunts Point

Updated: Oct 9, 2019

As some of you may know, every month I volunteer as a Reiki practitioner at the Free Clinic for Recovery at The Point in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx (check the events page for more info). I made a short video after the Free Clinic in August and finally got around to posting it. The volume is a bit low so I made a rough transcription below.

Hello. Just doing a quick video. It's Saturday August 10th and I just came back from doing this month's clinic in the Bronx at Hunts Point - The Point. It was amazing! I met some very amazing people and reconnected with old friends and family. I remember walking in(to my home) and feeling like I came back from Atlantic City and just won thousands of dollars. That's the feeling I felt but, I didn't actually win any money so don't try to rob me or ask me any (lol). But you are free to donate!

This was the first time that I was treating someone and it actually brought me to tears. And they were happy tears, there was just so much gratitude, I couldn't tell if it was their gratitude or if it was mine. It was just amazing and I was crying and crying and trying not to let any of my tears hit the person - trying to hide the fact I was crying so I did not disturb their treatment. It was beautiful! Also, having people give me feedback like: "oh, your energy is so sweet". And one woman said "you are really powerful, I felt you push all the pain out of my body".

When you do Reiki for long enough different people say they feel better, their pain went away or they're not as sad as they were before, but it's always great to get feedback from people. It means a lot, especially with where I am in my life right now. There are a lot of things I would like to give but i'm not in the position currently to do - even time is starting to run short. So being able to do Reiki for people is... I probably could not have dreamed of something better to be able to give to someone. I'm just checking in and being grateful. I hope you have something in your life you are grateful for.
